Yes, that’s correct! We’ve eliminated subscription fees with our NEW 10 Year* SIM card, which provides 500 MB of data. This data is estimated to last up to 10 years based on average usage of about 4 MB per month. Note that actual usage may vary, and the plan remains active until the data is fully used or the 10-year period concludes, whichever comes first.

You can purchase our tracker and SIM and track your pet for 10 years for what two years would cost with another provider.
Yes, your device and SIM card will continue to work for the period advertised (10 years or when 500 MB of data is used up, whichever occurs first), regardless of whether Roamr continues to sell this product or operate.
The battery life of your Roamr tracker varies depending on the frequency of live updates you select:
- Live updates every 45 seconds: Approximately 1-2 days. Ideal for users who need real-time tracking and are frequently monitoring their pet’s location, such as during intense activities or if their pet is prone to running off.
- Live updates every 5 minutes: Approximately 3-4 days. Perfect for users who want a balance between battery life and frequent updates, suitable for regular daily use.
- Live updates every 10 minutes: Approximately 5-6 days. Best for users who want longer battery life and don’t require continuous tracking, such as for pets that are mostly indoors or in familiar areas.
We will configure your device to your preferred setting before shipping it. Keep in mind that battery life can also be influenced by how often the device searches for nearby towers to connect to.
No matter which setting you choose, you can always use the app to refresh and trigger a live update, ensuring you have instant, real-time access to your pet’s location whenever needed.

Apple AirTags rely on proximity to other Apple devices for tracking. If your pet is out of range of these devices, the AirTag won’t be effective. In contrast, Roamr uses GPS and cellular technology to provide accurate, real-time location data regardless of nearby devices.
The tracker attachment has an opening of 25mm x 3mm at either end for sliding the collar and buckles through. Since it's silicone, it can stretch to accommodate a slightly larger or thicker collar.
For Cat's, the tracker is best suited on medium to larger sized cats.

Yes, the Roam Safe RS1 has an IPX7 rating for water resistance. This means it can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes without damage.
Absolutely! You can use the tracker for other pets or even objects like bikes. The only thing to keep in mind is that the app is designed with pets in mind, so if you're okay with giving your item a name, breed, and other pet-related details, you're good to go!
